This unlikely striker has better Prem stats than these Arsenal & Man United legends

Say what you like about Peter Crouch, the 33-year-old is one of the most successful strikers in Premier League history.

The Stoke City striker has been around for a long time now and is still doing the business for Mark Hughes’ side at the Britannia Stadium every other week. But it’s his combined career stats in the Premier League and his England record that, despite going relatively unnoticed for so long, is one of the most impressive in the top-flight.

We’ve had some absolute legends grace us with their talents in the Premier League over the years. Cristiano Ronaldo, Dennis Bergkamp, Fernando Torres before he turned rubbish, Paul Scholes. The list is endless.

But the aforementioned players have nothing on Peter Crouch. The Metro have put together a couple of interesting infographics that prove Crouchy has made more assists and scored more goals than every single one of them…

And his England record? He averaged a goal every 99 minutes for the Three Lions, compared to Wayne Rooney’s goal every 165 minutes.

So there you have it. Crouchy is in fact a Premier League legend. And the player himself is well aware of his own superiority…
