Manchester City star Sergio Aguero (13.1) would have been one of the first names to consider as captain of your fantasy team if he didn’t suffer his recent injury blow.

However, after featuring for 63 minutes against Leicester City, we could now see him back to his best when City travel to face Watford at the weekend.

Romelu Lukaku

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku (9.3) is now one of the most popular selections as captain given his recent form which has seen him register 10 goals from his previous nine league fixtures.

He recently netted two goals in the 4-3 defeat to Stoke City, bringing his tally level with Leicester City star Jamie Vardy on top of the scoring charts with 15 goals each. His next game sees him face Tottenham Hotspur, but due to his form, he shouldn’t be overlooked.

Mesut Ozil

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil (10.0) looks to have now hit top form as the Gunners move top of the Premier League following their recent 2-0 win over Bournemouth.

Ozil managed to register one goal and one assist from the match, earning himself 14 points in the previous round of fixtures. He could once again be at the top of his game as his side face 18th place Newcastle United at the Emirates.
