The 23-year-old has been attracting attention from a number of European clubs of late, thanks to a series of impressive La Liga displays.
Arsenal and Tottenham are believed to be firmly in the race, and have been monitoring the midfielder’s situation for some time.
The Moroccan international has been one of Getafe’s star performers this term, helping the Madrid-based side into a top half position.
They are desperate to keep hold of him, but Barrada has revealed that he is keen to move on to play for a top club in the not too distant future:
“I would love the chance to play for a big club and to play in the Champions League.” He is quoted by talkSPORT.
“That is the dream of any footballer and I want to play at the highest level.”
Barrada broke into the Getafe first-team in 2011, despite having been signed from Paris Saint-Germain a year before.
He has netted three goals from central midfield in the Spanish top flight this term, whilst contributing six assists.
Barrada was born in France, but elected to represent Morocco at international level and was a part of their squad for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
