The 21-year-old has been earning rave reviews for his performances in the Eredivisie, with his playing style being compared by some to Barcelona star Xavi.
As well as the Premier League duo, a number of top European clubs, including Fiorentina, are believed to be tracking the youngster.
With such interest, it’s unclear as to whether Feyenoord will be able to keep hold of their star man, who made his international debut last year.
Spurs are thought to be slightly ahead of Arsenal in the battle for Clasie, with the White Hart Lane club, likely, to be able to offer the youngster greater opportunities of first-team football.
But, the Gunners are also confident, and see the Dutchman as the ideal long-term partner for Jack Wilshere.
Clasie graduated from the Rotterdam club’s youth set-up, before joining Excelsior on loan in 2010.
His temporary switch allowed him to develop, and he quickly forced his way into the Feyenoord first-team following his return.
He has since made nearly 60 appearances for the De Guip-based outfit, becoming their main source of creativity from the middle of the park.
