Tottenham and Chelsea face fight for Juventus star

Andrea Pirlo (Juventus)Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo could disappoint a host of Premier League clubs by signing for Real Madrid, according to reports from The Express.

The World Cup winner’s contract with the Serie A champions expires at the end of the season leading to speculation that he could be set to leave Turin, which has alerted the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

The 34-year-old has been a key man for Juve since his shock move from AC Milan, but the Old Lady are stalling as they decide whether or not to offer him a new deal due to his advancing years.

Spurs are said to be in talks with Pirlo, but now it has emerged that Real are keen.

The La Liga giants see the playmaker as a wise short-term addition and a player that can help them in the long running battle with Barcelona for domestic dominance.

United, Arsenal and Chelsea are also monitoring the situation and may make serious moves for his services.

Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has a good relationship with Pirlo having coached him during their time together at Milan.

A potential stumbling block could be the veteran’s chances of regular action at the Bernabeu.

Could Andrea Pirlo be a Premier League hit?
