Tottenham are ready to make a £3million bid for Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph, according to Metro.
The England international is a transfer target for Liverpool, but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers was hoping to snap him up on a free when his Villa Park contract expired at the end of this season.
But Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is expected to take advantage of Villa’s desperation to recoup some cash for the midfielder by making a cheeky offer to sign him this month.
And Pochettino is also willing to use one of Aaron Lennon, Andros Townsend, Moussa Dembele, Emmanuel Adebayor or Paulinho as part of the deal to bring Delph to White Hart Lane.
Such a move could spark a bidding war for the midfielder this month, with Southampton and Everton also keeping an eye on the situation.
