According to reports in the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a move for £18m-rated Bayer Leverkusen full-back Benjamin Henrichs following Kyle Walker’s departure to Manchester City last month.

The Daily Mail says that as another target – Hoffenheim’s Jeremy Toljan – is attracting interest from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino could instead turn his attentions to Henrichs as he looks to provide Kieran Tripper with some more competition in the right-back spot.

The 20-year-old is a regular for the Bundesliga outfit despite his tender years and as well as making 37 appearances in all competitions for Leverkusen last season, he is also able to play at left-back and that could be an attractive proposition for the north London outfit.

Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and while many were urging the club to act rather than just considering making a move for the Germany Under-21 international, others believe his £18m price could mean that he is too expensive for them.
