Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has established himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League, but the world is also taking notice.
The 24-year-old is the only England player to be named in the 55-man shortlist for the FIFPro World XI.
In fact, only one other British player – Wales international Gareth Bale – has been nominated.
Kane and Bale join a string of elite stars in the world of football, with Real Madrid being represented the most with 12 players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kroos and Sergio Ramos.
Many argue that the Premier League is the best division in world football, but it is La Liga that boasts the most players in the nominations list for the FIFPro XI.
In total, 23 footballers that ply their trades in Spain have made the cut, while 13 representatives of England’s top flight are included.
Kane acknowledged his nomination with an emoji on Twitter, and Spurs fans were quick to congratulate the striker.

Some others wondered why there were not more Tottenham players included in the shortlist.
