Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has won the Premier League Goal of the Month award for February.

The 26-year-old picked up the gong for his thunderous strike against Liverpool, which stunned the Anfield crowd.

The match itself was a dramatic one, particularly in the final 10 minutes as Wanyama's hit levelled proceedings to 1-1.

Mohamed Salah thought he had won the game for Liverpool when he netted his second of the day in the 91st minute, but a very late penalty from Harry Kane ensured that Tottenham left with a point.

During the match, Kane and his teammate Dele Alli were accused of diving - something that has been a major talking point this season.

Alli, in particular, has faced criticism for his apparent play-acting on the pitch, and plenty of rival fans have taken aim at Tottenham for this reason.

Once Wanyama's strike against Liverpool was confirmed as Goal of the Month, Spurs were teased by rival supporters, some of whom mocked the club's lack of silverware.
