Tottenham Hotspur have sent Head of Recruitment Paul Mitchell to watch Birmingham City wonderkid Demarai Gray, according to the Enfield Independent.
The 19-year-old winger has been a star performer for Birmingham over the last few seasons, netting eight goals in 76 first-team appearances.
Bournemouth had a £5million bid for the winger rejected last January, but now it’s being reported that he would be available for as little as £3.75m.
However, the Enfield Independent also claim the likes of Liverpool, Leicester City and Southampton have also sent scouts to watch Gray recently, which might suggest a bidding war could happen should one of these interested parties make their move in January.
Additionally, the Birmingham Mail are reporting that Leicester tried to sign the winger in the summer but failed to trigger all of his release clauses. Crystal Palace also tried to sign him two summers ago.
Gray is valued at £2.8m by transfermarkt.co.uk.
