The duo both arrived in north London on deadline day with reputations for being some of the most creative players in European football.
The pair indeed lived up to their billing in their respective debuts, notching assists that contributed to wins over Sunderland and Norwich.
Costing £45m, Ozil has been hailed as one of the best buys of the summer in the Premier League, but Eriksen has been compared to the German due to having a similar playing style and an eye for the killer pass.
However, the 21-year-old Dane has played down such talk, although he admitted that he is flattered by it.
“I think Ozil has achieved a little bit more than me! I am a few years younger and still have to learn a lot but it is nice to be compared,” Eriksen told The Mirror.
“From what I have heard, it is not good to be compared with Arsenal players! But really, it is pretty cool to be compared with such big players.”
Eriksen was one of the most in-demand players in the summer transfer market, and was strongly linked with Liverpool.
However, Andre Villas-Boas clinched his signature from Ajax as a part of his £100m overhaul.
