Tottenham to steal former Arsenal target

Tottenham are interested in signing former Arsenal target Aymen Abdennour from Monaco in the January transfer window, according to reports in London24.

The revelations come from the Ligue 1 defender himself, with Abdennour admitting he would be open to a move to the Premier League club some time in the future.

Abdennour, who has represented Tunisia at international level, is set to feature for Monaco in tonight’s crunch Champions League last-16 game against Arsenal.

The Tunisian defender was previously linked with a move to The Emirates by The Daily Express, but now looks more likely make the move further up the Seven Sisters Road to White Hart Lane.

Monaco go into tonight’s game in some form, with Abdennour helping his side to concede just three goals in their last 17 matches.

The club currently sit in 4th place in Ligue 1 with 43 points in total; but remain behind Olympique de Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain and surprise league leaders Lyon.
