2-0 down within five minutes, Tottenham really needed a bit of luck to get back into their game with West Brom. But after being awarded a spot-kick thanks to a foul on Danny Rose from Morgan Amalfitano, Emmanuel Adebayor hit one of the worst penalties of the season. The normally prolific Togolese front-man tried a game of cat and mouse with Ben Foster, who saved his tame effort. Meanwhile Tim Sherwood’s gilet has been found in a tree outside The Hawthorns after he threw it in a fit of rage.
Adebayor – idiot. At 2-0 down and you get a penalty, you smash the ball into the net. Not try to showboat. #thfc

Emmanuel Adebayor has missed just two penalties in the Premier League. Both came against West Brom and both were saved by Ben Foster.
