Sky Sports is reporting that Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang is happy where he is, according to his agent, despite reported interest from Tottenham.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been in excellent form this season in Serie A which has alerted a host of clubs across the continent, but his agent says he is happy where he is in Genoa.
As well as Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City have also been linked, while Italian rivals Napoli were believed to be monitoring the Spaniard’s situation with a view to making a summer bid.
However, Obiang’s representative, Jose Miguel Gonzalez, has played down suggestions that he could be on his way.
“There are only rumours about him,” he told calciomercato.it. “There was nothing with Napoli, we have not had any meetings and, as far as I know, Sampdoria have not received any concrete offers from any club.
“I know that many teams, including English ones, are interested in the player but he is very good in Genoa and he’s happy.”
