If Toby Alderweirled leaves Tottenham Hotspur this summer, it will not be a huge surprise.
The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move away from the North London outfit as he is yet to sign a new contract.
With only four days left of the transfer window remaining, time is ticking on any potential deals.
According to The Mirror, Alderweireld is expected to become a United player within the next 48 hours.
The publication states that the two clubs are close to agreeing a £60m deal.
United have regularly been touted as potential suitors for the centre-back, who has been at Tottenham since 2015 when he signed from Atletico Madrid.
Alderweireld formed a strong partnership with Jan Vertonghen, but injury caused him to miss most of last season, which allowed Davinson Sanchez to earn more game time.
There is no doubt that losing a first-team player to a direct rival is a major blow for Tottenham, particularly as they are yet to bring in any new faces in this window.
On Twitter, Spurs fans posted their thoughts on the latest reports surrounding Alderweireld.
