According to The Mirror, a rift at Borussia Dortmund is threatening to see their Head of Recruitment Sven Mislintat leave the club with Tottenham apparently waiting in the wings.
Spurs lost their own Head of Recruitment, Paul Mitchell, in the summer much to Mauricio Pochettino’s displeasure and that has left a vacancy that the Dortmund man Mislintat could perhaps fill.
The report says of the relationship between him and BVB boss Thomas Tuchel that ‘breaking point may not be far away’ with one of the men set to use the exit.
Spurs may face competition from Hamburg for Mislintat but with Daniel Levy reportedly ‘open minded’ about appointing someone similar to Mitchell, a deal could be on.
Mislintat has been responsible for some of Dortmund’s most high profile signings, including Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele so with Spurs looking to sign that calibre of player, they may well be interested in bringing him to the club.
Spurs are currently the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League and are one point off league leaders Manchester City.
