Tim Sherwood looked to be making a positive impact on Tottenham’s bid for a top-four finish since he took over from Andre Villas-Boas earlier this season.
But two 1-0 losses in four days in the Europa League and the Premier League respectively means their chances of securing Champions League football next season and winning a trophy in Europe have taken a huge blow.
Sunday’s loss to Norwich at Carrow Road sparked a flurry of fans poking fun at the North London side, who have made it no secret that Champions League football is all they’re really worried about at the moment, particularly after splashing over £100million in the summer.

Tottenham are a sorry excuse for a team looking to get into the champions league

Tottenham spent so much money this year and they aren't even going to qualify for champions league. Awesome

Tottenham never have been and never will be good enough for the Champions league

Spurs have been in the champions league once. The sense of entitlement their fans have is ridiculous.

I'd love to nab one of Spurs' better players when we're in the Champions League and they're not.

Laughable that spurs think they can compete for champions league when they can't handle the Europa and then a game on sunday.#Top4IsFinished
