Andre Villas-Boas says his return to Stamford Bridge is not very special and he is not worried about the reception he gets.
The 35-year-old Spurs boss was dismissed after just nine months in charge at Stamford Bridge after reports of a fall out with the players and a run of just three wins in 12 games.
Villas-Boas takes his side to Chelsea desperate for at least a share of the points in order to keep their hopes alive of a place in the Champions League, but he says he is not worried about what reception he will get from the home fans.
“It is not very, very special. It is a club that I have gone past,” he said.
“I have good and bad memories like everybody else but it was a period that did not finish the way I would have liked.
“Whatever reception I get it will come from (the fans’) hearts so I respect that, it is absolutely fine.”
