In a rather unusual turn of events, Tottenham Hotspur's chairman, Daniel Levy, has come out of his shell to speak to Evening Standard and discus some of the club's possible business heading into the January transfer window.

One of the topics that was also discussed was Christian Eriksen and his potential sale to one of Spurs' rivals in the Premier League, as well as potential incorporation of new players, to which Levy promptly stated the following:

"Jose is on record as saying what we need now is to get the players playing better, which is what they are doing. He's made it clear he is not looking for new players in January. He is happy with what he's got."

And sure enough, upon seeing their chairman's words, many Spurs fans were left disappointed as they feel this definitely means the club will not buy anyone during the winter transfer market.

Interestingly enough, some of them were also pretty quick to compare Jose Mourinho's current situation to that of Mauricio Pochettino's before him and they seem to believe Levy has successfully "Levyd" their new manager as well.

But alas, there were some fans who managed to remain optimistic as they seem to believe this is just a tactical move by the club and that things can still work out in the end.
