For so long it seemed that Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose was destined for a move to Manchester United, but it seems that there has been a change of direction.
In April, The Sun reported that United manager Jose Mourinho had Rose on his wishlist.
Now, though, the same newspaper claims that Everton have entered the race for the left-back, who the publication claims has a £40m price tag.
It would be no shock if Rose left the club this summer due to the fact that he struggled for regular game time this season.
After recovering from a serious knee injury, the England international, who has been included in the Three Lions’ World Cup squad, started just nine Premier League games.
Everton are in need of a new left-back given that Leighton Baines is in the latter stages of his career at the age of 33.
Tottenham fans have given mixed reactions to these latest reports, and some are rather baffled by the link to Goodison Park.
Bite their hands off.
