Welsh international football has been a bit of a joke through recent history. A number of clodders from the depths of the English game have made up XIs around some genuinely talented players, which has, no doubt, contributed to their failure to even come close to gracing a big tournament.
HOWEVER, times are a-changing, and Chris Coleman’s Dragons, who are spearheaded by the world’s most expensive player in the form of Gareth Bale, are well on course to booking a spot at EURO 2016 – which would be their first showpiece event since 1958. The former Spurs star netted a wonderful winner against Belgium on Friday, who are ranked No.2 in FIFA’s order of power, putting them three points clear at the top of Group B with just four games to play.
Elsewhere in the world of football there have been stories from Chile 2015 and the efforts of Roy Hodgson’s England side, and our very own Marcus Speller has taken a cheeky look at it all in the video below!
