Tottenham Hotspur could be in line to receive a massive boost to their season, and it has caused fans to debate the news in their numbers.

According to The Sun, Spurs captain Harry Kane is targeting a return in early April, which would see him fit for their end of season run-in and potentially the Champions League if they can get past RB Leipzig next week.

Jose Mourinho originally had fears that his top goalscorer would miss the remainder of the season, but this latest update could change their fortunes for the better.

The Spurs boss is currently without Heung-min Son too, so there's a considerable lack of options to lead the line.

Kane has not featured since the New Year's Day defeat to Southampton, and supporters seem to be split about what should happen.

Here's what has been said...

There were some behind him being rushed back as a couple of supporters claimed the 26-year-old would not only save their season but also help England's quest in the Euros this summer.

"Total machine," "phenomenal" and "desperately missed" were other words of choice used to describe Kane.

However, plenty more were entirely against the idea of seeing him back before the end of the current campaign.

A further member of the Spurs faithful claimed Kane would be destroying his career by coming back too soon while another begged him not to be a hero.

The talisman was even labelled a "freak" but one that needed to let his body heal properly.

For others, this has been an all too frequent occurrence as it's not the first time that the England international has been fast-tracked back from injury.

"Deja vu" was the cry from one fan as another emphasised this point by stating that it was best he waits until next season so that he can start fresh.
