With Europe’s best strikers switching allegiances thick and fast this summer, Tottenham‘s choices of a new big-money centre-forward have whittled down to one man – Valencia’s Roberto Soldado.

The Spain international comes highly regarded, this season finishing up with 31 goals in 46 appearances for all competitions, and the usually stingy Daniel Levy appears happy enough to accept Valencia’s demands of a £26million fee, which also happens to be Soldado’s release clause.

But personally, I have my reservations about a 5 foot 8, 28-year-old, European second string striker making a much delayed move to the Premier League for such an overzealous amount, so here’s FIVE reasons the Lilywhites should steer clear of the Spain forward this summer.
