Spurs fans must wonder sometimes what the Spurs physio department are up to these days. Players seem to enter the treatment room with a minor niggle only to find themselves ruled out of action for months at a time. Last nights Europa squad wasn’t an experiment by Sherwood, it was necessary because so many players were either injured or lacking the fitness to play. Injuries are sometimes just bad luck, but at Spurs the pattern would suggest players just aren’t fit enough to cope with rigours of both continental and domestic football. In years past Spurs were the side to capitalise on tiring sides at the back end of matches, this season it has been Spurs that have looked the most ragged in the final 10 minutes.
