Not bad for a one season wonder, eh?

Harry Kane just keeps getting better and better and better. The England international went in to this afternoon's Boxing Day clash with Southampton at Wembley needing just one goal to break Alan Shearer's record of scoring the most goals in a calendar year - 36 in 1995.

And in the 22nd minute, the striker got his head on the end of a superb Christian Eriksen free-kick to make it 37 goals in 2017 and to break yet another record in his ever improving Tottenham career.

That goal takes him to 94 Premier League goals in total, and he'll most certainly have his sights set on Shearer's most prestigious Premier League record - the all-time top scorer.

He some way to go before netting more than Shearer's 260 but he definitely is the posing the biggest threat to that long standing record than anyone else ever has.

It also brings him level with Lionel Messi with goals scored for club and country in 2017, which makes the achievement even more astonishing.

He's only 24-years-old and he's smashing records with ease. Here's how Twitter reacted...
