There have been some great free-kick takers in the history of football, but one of the greatest has to be none other than Manchester United legend David Beckham.
His right foot has swung in some impressive crosses over the years, but it will be his amazing set-piece goals that will stand the test of time.
However, last night Christian Eriksen scored a free-kick that proved to be not only as beautiful as the Beckham’s but also as set Spurs on their way to a first Wembley appearance since 2012, where they incidentally faced Chelsea in 5-1 defeat in the FA Cup semi-final.
Eriksen has been crucial to Spurs’ success so far this season, and has developed something of a reputation for scoring late winners. He did bag a late winner to send Spurs in to the Capital One Cup final yesterday as well, but it was the below free-kick that bagged all the headlines.
