According to reports from L’Equipe (see below), Lyon and Nice have launched late transfer approaches for Marseille-bound Tottenham Hotspur youngster Clinton N’Jie.
According to L’Equipe (summarised in English by Get French Football News) the Lilywhites are keen to push through a season-long loan deal with a £5.9million obligation to buy after a certain number of appearances for the Ligue 1 side.
But it appears two clubs have launched late attempts to prize the Spurs forward from Marseille’s clutches, with Nice and former employers Lyon both reportedly making last-minute approaches for N’Jie.
The 22-year-old sealed a move to White Hart Lane from Lyon last summer but failed to register a single start in the Premier League during 2015/16 as Mauricio Pochettino’s side launched a shock title bid.
However, Spurs seem unlikely to entertain Nice and Lyon’s late moves, with his Marseille switch seemingly on the verge of completion.
