Tottenham star Gareth Bale’s agent says it is an ‘honour” to be linked with a move to Real Madrid and they would listen to any offer.
The Welshman has enjoyed another stellar season at White Hart Lane, scooping the PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards after scoring 21 Premier League goals.
Bale’s form hasn’t gone unnoticed and recent speculation has suggested Real Madrid could be ready to offer in excess of £60m to persuade him to move to the Bernabeu.
With Spurs having missed out on qualification for the Champions League, Bale could be tempted by the chance to join Los Blancos.
His agent, Jonathan Barnett, has admitted it would be an honour if Real came calling but insists the 23-year-old remains firmly committed to Tottenham for now.
“If Florentino [Perez, Real president] is interested in Gareth Bale, then that would be an honour and we would listen, but his contract is with Tottenham,” he said.
Barnett went on to say that he felt Bale was worth more than Brazilian superstar Neymar, who recently confirmed he would be joining Barcelona in a reported €72million deal.
