Germany legend Lothar Matthaus has had his say over the emergence of Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
The England international has become one of the best strikers in the Premier League over the last few seasons.
In the past two campaigns, Kane has come away with the Golden Boot having scored the most goals in the top flight – in the 2016-17 campaign the forward netted 29.
So far this season, the striker has found the back of the net 13 times in all competitions for the North London outfit.
At the moment, the Spurs star is struggling with a knee injury and prior to that had to shake off a hamstring problem.
Matthaus, who won the Ballon d’Or in 1990 and has a World Cup winners’ medal, believes that Kane is one of the best in England right now.
The former Bayern Munich player waxed lyrical about the Tottenham forward while speaking to FourFourTwo:
“Kane guarantees you goals and he has scored so many. He works for the team, he is strong and his body language is amazing. You can see just how much he wants to score. He’s crazy about it. He is so focused on the ball when it comes to him. I like it when a player has that look – he doesn’t want to let that chance go.”
