Heroic Kane reminds everyone how good he is

Harry Kane has improved his excellent record in North London derbies by scoring the equaliser for Spurs in today’s game at the Emirates.

A Kevin Wimmer own goal had gifted the hosts the lead, however when Mousa Dembele was fouled on the edge of the box by Lauren Koscielny, Kane was given the chance to step up and slot home from 12 yards.

The Englishman converted and the goal took his tally to 16 in 23 games between the pair.

Kane, who has been missing since early September after sustaining an injury at Sunderland, was greeted with a standing ovation from the Spurs fans who would admit their side has struggled in front of goal without their top scorer of the past two seasons. Vincent Janssen’s failure to step up to the metaphorical plate has caused Spurs problems of late, making the Lilywhite supporters all the happier for Kane’s return.

Twitter has of course gone into meltdown with adulation for his goal grabbing return, and here are the best so far …
