Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Glenn Hoddle has paid tribute to Christian Eriksen's performance against Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Eriksen came up with a late equaliser for a Tottenham side that bounced back from 2-0 behind to register two away goals in Turin.

The 26-year-old, who is valued at £63m by transfermarkt.co.uk, operated in a deeper position alongside Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele, and the Dane was outstanding before popping up with a leveller for the Premier League club.

Eriksen has now scored nine times and registered eight assists in all competitions this season, with his form key in Tottenham's recent run of excellent form.

Hoddle, who played for Spurs as well as managing the London club, has lavished praise on Eriksen's overall performance against the Italian champions.

Hoddle told BT Sport:

"That's the best game I've see him play against top quality opposition. I think he's been very good against some of the mid-table teams, but this is top quality and he was outstanding."

Tottenham are unbeaten in all competitions since their 4-1 defeat at Manchester City in the Premier League on December 16.

Next up for Mauricio Pochettino's side is a trip to League One side Rochdale in the fifth round of the FA Cup this weekend.
