Is it time that Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker-Peters leaves Mauricio Pochettino’s care in order to play regular first-team football?

The 21-year-old looked a potential shoo-in for the right-back spot when Manchester City snapped up Kyle Walker in the summer of 2017, but instead, the academy graduate slumped down the pecking order.

Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier are both ahead of the former prospect for the full-back slot, and even on the left-hand side he’d be behind Ben Davies and Danny Rose.

Playmaker FC Exclusive: Jermaine Jenas reveals he would have snubbed Tottenham for Arsenal if they'd come knocking in 2005...

His most recent outing came on Tuesday night in Tottenham’s crunch Champions League fixture against Barcelona, and fans ripped his performance to shreds.

The Edmonton-born defender was blasted as not being ‘Premier League material’, and one even said it was like watching an ‘actual child’ playing against one of Europe’s best outfits.

Should Walker-Peters try to salvage his career in the absence of Aurier and Trippier through injuries, he’ll have to improve tenfold from what he displayed in the Champions League.

Aurier could prove to be an example to the 21-year-old, given the former PSG right-back struggled to adapt to the English game at first, but has become a much better option for his Argentine manager this season.

What do you think? Should Walker-Peters leave Spurs in search of first-team football or stay and fight it out? Let us know in the poll below…
