With their draw in Barcelona and a strong run in the Premier League, Tottenham fans have had some brilliant results to celebrate in recent weeks. The one that stands out as the most pleasing though is surely the recent 2-0 win over North London rivals Arsenal in the quarter final of the Carabao Cup.

The win at the Emirates would have seemed like revenge for Spurs after they lost the same fixture 4-2 in the league just over two weeks before. One huge difference for the away side though was the presence of Paulo Gazzaniga in goal during the win.

Hugo Lloris started in the league game and conceded four goals whereas 26-year-old Gazzaniga produced a fine display, keeping out an early strike from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and then producing a brilliant save from Aaron Ramsey's effort.

So far this season, 31-year-old Lloris has looked a shadow of the goalkeeper he used to be, despite winning the World Cup during the summer. His mistakes in big games, such as the home loss to Liverpool, have cost the club and it could now be time for Mauricio Pochettino to make Gazzaniga the number one in order to bring trophies to the new stadium.

The Argentine impressed when playing twice in the league whilst Lloris was out earlier this season, and he is now clearly the second-choice stopper ahead of Michel Vorm.

So, Tottenham fans, would you like Pochettino to make Gazzaniga your number one? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
