Tottenham fans are not happy with the recent performances of Christian Eriksen, so should Mauricio Pochettino do the unthinkable and drop the Danish international?

Pochettino’s side ended their worrying winless streak on Saturday evening with a relatively convincing win over Brighton.

The hosts did have a fantastic spell at the start of the second half, but Spurs could have snatched three of four goals when the game opened up late on, and will look to kick on against Watford this week.

While the team’s performance was significantly better than last week’s display in Milan, Eriksen was completely ineffectual once again.

The 26 year-old has racked up 57 goals and 71 assists in 232 appearances for Tottenham, but he has just seemed slightly off the pace so far this season.

Given that Lucas Moura is in the form of his life, Son Heung-min is riding a wave of positivity after his international heroics and Dele Alli has now returned from injury, could Eriksen use a rest for the next couple of games?

Spurs face Watford in the League Cup before a visit to struggling Huddersfield, and a few games on the sidelines could be just what the fan favourite playmaker needs to get back to his best before the clash with Barcelona.

So, Tottenham fans, should Eriksen lose his place for a few games? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
