HYS: Should Tottenham Hotspur sign Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland?

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be busy in the transfer window this summer as they try to improve the team for their first season in the club’s new stadium.

A number of potential outgoings have been reported on, and if they do lose some first-team stars they will need to bring in fresh faces.

The goalkeeping position is not an area that desperately needs strengthening due to the fact that Hugo Lloris has the number one jersey.

Although, the Frenchman has been subjected to criticism on social media from his own fans over the last couple of months.

It is hugely unlikely that manager Mauricio Pochettino will remove Lloris from the top spot, but second-string option Michel Form could potentially move on as he is out of contract this summer.

If so, the Argentine coach could look for a decent shot-stopper to challenge his number one, and judging by recent reports, Stoke City’s Jack Butland could be available.

According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old is expected to be one of a number of players that will leave Stoke if the club suffer relegation to the Championship.

Given that Butland is a genuine candidate for the England number one role, it is likely that a handful of clubs will be interested in his signature, but will Tottenham be one of them?
