Tottenham Hotspur have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in the chase for Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Morgan Gibbs-White, according to The Sun.

What's the word?

The teenager is believed to have attracted interest from Premier League clubs for his role in England Under-17s World Cup win.

Gibbs-White, 17, is currently tied down to Championship club Wolves until 2019, but he cannot sign a fresh deal until he turns 18.

The Sun reports that Liverpool are the frontrunners to sign the midfielder as they are preparing a £5m bid, but Tottenham and Arsenal are also interested.

Gibbs-White made his first-team debut for Wolves last season, but in the current campaign, he is yet to make an appearance.

Could Tottenham be a good move?

From the club's point of view, bringing in a young talent like Gibbs-White can only be positive for the future.

The North London outfit have a manager who has become known for developing youth and giving them a chance at elite level.

However, Gibbs-White unlikely to follow in the footsteps of Dele Alli and Harry Winks at this stage of his career.

Spurs are in contention for the Premier League crown, and are also flying high in the Champions League.

When it gets to crunch time, Mauricio Pochettino cannot afford to call on inexperienced players.

With that in mind, it might be best for Gibbs-White to remain at Wolves for the time being and fight for a first-team spot.

Last season, the teenager played eight games in all competitions for the Championship outfit.
