According to RMC Sport, Tottenham Hotspur have sealed a deal for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Lucas Moura, who will join the club on a four-year contract next week.

What's the story?

Lucas has been strongly linked with a move away from PSG during the January window, with Manchester United and Liverpool both believed to hold an interest.

However, according to RMC Sport, Tottenham have won the race to sign the Brazilian, who will sign a four-year contract with the London outfit upon his arrival early next week.

The report claims that Spurs will pay an initial fee of £25m for the 25-year-old, and he could make his debut for the club in next Wednesday's Premier League clash with Man United.

Lucas has already been shown around Tottenham's training ground, and he will boost a squad looking to secure a top-four finish in the final months of the 2017-18 campaign.

Is Lucas a good signing?

In the current market, signing a player of Lucas' talent for £25m does appear to be a very good deal for Tottenham.

The 36-time Brazil international scored 18 times in all competitions for PSG last season, but has only netted once this term, and has not started a single league game for the French giants during the 2017-18 campaign.

The presence of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel di Maria at PSG has made it difficult for Lucas to earn regular football, but he is still a brilliant talent that could thrive in England.

A versatile attacker with blistering pace, Lucas certainly has the credentials to operate in the Premier League, and he will look to form a relationship with Harry Kane and Dele Alli in the final third of the field.

Tottenham are in desperate need of some fresh blood to boost their hopes of securing a Champions League finish once again, and the signing of Lucas for a relatively small fee could turn out to be a very good piece of business.
