With such a big threshold now crossed, the club’s official account were quick to congratulate him on social media, and with that post came a true sea of praise and love from their fans.
Some of the terms used to describe the 32-year-old included “incredible”, while some think that he has achieved the status of a “legend” already at this point.

But the problem with Vertonghen is that his contract is due to expire in the summer of 2020 and judging by the reaction of many supporters, they really want him to sign an extension.
