Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying a fine season and having ended Chelsea’s remarkable winning run last week, the Lilywhites put their name in the hat for the FA Cup fourth round with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa.
Mauricio Pochettino has led the side valiantly since his appointment three years ago and will surely be targeting success in the cup competitions this season, with the North London side establishing themselves as contenders.
Whilst they still have to be wary of the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, all of whom also progressed this weekend, Spurs have shown they can beat anyone on their day.
However, without Harry Kane their options up front are extremely limited as summer signing Vincent Janssen has been woeful in his Spurs career thus far.
Scoring just three penalties since a £17m arrival in the summer and not yet scoring from open play, Janssen had another game to forget about Villa and was criticised by many on social media.
Another forgettable appearance by Vincent Janssen. My gran has better movement and she's a terrible player. And dead.

33 – Excluding penalties, Vincent Janssen has had a total of 33 shots without scoring in all comps; the most of any PL striker. Wayward.

Pochettino deserves a lot of praise for what he's done at Tottenham but nearly £50m on Janssen and Sissoko is woeful business #THFC

If Mike Dean was really a Spurs fan he would've sent off Janssen in the first half allowing us to actually score goals

Think we need to cut our losses with Janssen. It's sad to say this as I like giving people a chance. But he has used all his chances up now

Don't think I'd ever kill myself except if like Kane broke his leg and we were stuck with Janssen. That might just do it.
