Lazio duo turn down Tottenham move

Miroslav Klose will leave Bayern Munich on a free transfer in the summerIt has been revealed that Lazio duo Hernanes and Miroslav Klose rejected moves to Tottenham during the transfer window.

Andre Villas-Boas was in the market for a new central midfielder and striker, and signed Moussa Dembele and Emmanuel Adebayor in the end up.

However, Hernanes’ agent Joseph Lee has confessed that Spurs made an attempt to sign the Brazil international midfielder.

“I met Lazio president Claudio Lotito at Villa San Sebastiano. We talked about today, and also about the future,” he told lalaziosiamonoi.it, translated to English by Sky Sports.

“Lotito has confirmed to me that Hernanes is a very important player for Lazio, but I would not to enter into the details of our discussions.

“Extending the contract? Hernanes has an agreement that ties him to SS Lazio until 2015 so there is still time,” he confessed.

Meanwhile Klose has also stated that the north London outfit made a move for him during the summer.

“Tottenham came looking for me, but I signed for Lazio until 2014 and I intend to respect that contract,” he told Sportal.it.
