Lethal forward snubs West Ham for Spurs, club unwilling to pay £31m

Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi favours a move to Tottenham Hotspur over London rivals West Ham United, according to Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws (via VoetbalKrankt).

The forward has been one of the most talked about individuals of the burgeoning 2016 summer transfer window thus far, emerging as a target for both capital counterparts.

With the Hammers due to make their exciting stadium move within weeks, the East London outfit were reportedly identifying the 22-year old as a marquee name to mark their arrival at the Olympic Stadium.

Spurs are also understood to be strongly interested in luring him to North London as they bid to draft in quality reinforcements for star man Harry Kane.

However, it is now claimed that while the former Standard Liege marksman is eager to move to White Hart Lane, the club are unwilling to shell out big bucks for him.

The Ligue 1 outfit are believed to value one of their prized assets at €40m (around £31m), with movers and shakers in North London reportedly baulking at such a price.
