Manchester United could miss out on Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane with the London club plotting to increase his wages to £100,000-a-week, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The 22-year-old has once again been in sensational form throughout the campaign, emerging as a top striking target for United heading into the summer.
However, Tottenham are ready to double his current £50,000-a-week wages with a new contract despite the fact that he only penned a five-year deal last February.
Daily Mail claims that the club are set to break their wage ceiling of £80,000, with Kane in line to be the highest paid player at White Hart Lane should he agree to the mentioned terms.
The potential deal could be completed during the summer, but both sides are remaining calm as the England international is expected to snub an exit when the transfer window reopens.
He has already featured 48 times for his side in all competitions this term, so far managing to score 28 goals while providing another two assists.
