Former Arsenal forward Paul Merson has insisted that the Gunners will not prevent Tottenham Hotspur from scoring in Sunday's North London derby.

One of the most fascinating derbies in recent years will take place at the Emirates Stadium this weekend as Tottenham visit Arsenal, with both teams in good form.

Indeed, Spurs have won each of their last six matches in all competitions, and will take on an Arsenal side that have not lost in the Premier League since the second weekend of the campaign.

Arsenal recorded a 2-0 win in the corresponding game last season, but the Gunners have not kept a clean sheet in the Premier League since the end of September.

And Merson has said that his former team will need to score at least twice if they are to win on Sunday as there is "no chance" of Unai Emery's side keeping a clean sheet.

Merson told The Debate on Sky Sports:

“No chance. I’d be shocked if Arsenal kept a clean sheet. That’s why I think he’ll play [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang and [Alexandre] Lacazette and go I’m not going to draw this game 0-0.

“That’s what he did well against Liverpool. He thought we’ve got to have a go. I’d be shocked if Arsenal kept Tottenham to zero.”

Arsenal have only won one of their last four in the Premier League, but that 2-1 success came at Bournemouth last weekend.
