According to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, Tottenham Hotspur have made an offer for Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, who currently has a £26.7m release clause in his contract.
The 22-year-old has made 71 appearances for Roma over the last two seasons.
A regular during the 2018-19 campaign, Pellegrini is also a 10-time Italy international and is capable of operating in a number of different midfield positions, making him an attractive proposition.
According to Schira, Roma are keen to offer Pellegrini a new contract which would remove his release clause.
However, Tottenham - in addition to Arsenal - are said to have made a proposal to Pellegrini's agent with the view to completing a summer deal.
