Milan Badelj’s agent has revealed that he is “95 sure” that is client will be moving to the Premier League this summer amid links with Spurs.
The Lilywhites have reportedly opened talks with Serie A heavyweights Fiorentina regarding a summer deal for the midfielder, who has impressed in the purple shirt since joining the club from Hamburg in 2014.
His composed showings have seen the 26-year-old Croatian likened to compatriot, and former White Hart Lane hero, Luke Modric.
Fiorentina are thought to value their man at around £5m, and speaking to Sport Witness, Badelj’s agent, Dejan Joksimovic, revealed that it’s almost certain that the playmaker will move to the Premier League, with two clubs interested in him:
“Milan will come to the Premier League soon, this is 95% sure.
“His wish is to play in this league, but let’s see how Fiorentina react this summer.
“Regarding specific clubs, I can assure you there are two top Premier League clubs interested in Badelj, and we will see if the move is possible in the summer.
“I hope he’ll move to a top European club soon, because, with all due respect, Fiorentina isn’t. England is high on his priority list.”
Spurs appear on course to secure Champions League qualification for next season, and with Mauricio Pochettino’s current central ranks a little short of creativity, a move for Badelj makes sense.
Modric is still thought of highly in north London despite having left the club in 2012 to join Real Madrid.
