The Netherlands international was one of the Magpies’ better performers last season as they plummeted out of the Premier League, claiming eleven goals and five assists in 38 league outings.
He also averaged 1.2 created chances, 1.4 successful dribbles and 1.4 shots per match whilst being jostled around a number midfield roles, ranging from defensive midfield to the left wing.
A number of clubs are reportedly prepared to offer the 25-year-old another chance in the top flight, with Mirror Football recently putting Wijnaldum at the centre of a transfer battle between Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
But according to The Chronicle, the Magpies insist they’re yet to receive any bids for the Dutch maestro – and equally in-demand team-mate Moussa Sissoko.
According to Sky Sports, convincing Newcastle to sell Wijnaldum this summer will require £27million fee.
