Internacional have insisted they have not received a bid for striker Leandro Damiao, reports The Metro.
Internacional’s director of football Luis Cesar Souto de Moura has admitted their is interest in the Brazilian from a number of clubs, but he doesn’t expect the international striker to leave the country.
“Nothing has come, clubs from everywhere sound him out all the time, but we don’t even consider that any more, as there are too many enquiries but offers never come,” said Moura.
“I am working with the idea of keeping the player, so that he doesn’t leave.”
Andre Villas-Boas tried to bring Damiao to White Hart Lane lust summer, but admitted a deal for the 23-year-old broke down due to complications in Damiao’s current third party ownership.
The Brazilian scored six goals for his nation in the 2012 Olympics last summer, as the country reached the final of the competition, only to lose 2-1 to Mexico.
Damiao was supposed to feature for his country in the Confederations Cup, but a thigh injury led to the 23-year-old missing out on his nation’s success, after they beat Spain 3-0 on Sunday night to win the tournament.
Will Damiao finally join Spurs? Or is he set to snub them once more?
