No stopping him… Twitter reacts to Spurs’ new captain

At the start of the season Harry Kane was nowhere. Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado were ahead of him in the Tottenham packing order, and his playing time was rationed to outings in the Europa League against far-flung opposition with unheard of players and unpronounceable names.

But now Kane is Spurs’ main man, the joint highest scorer in the premier League, a goalscoring England international and now the Lilywhites’ CAPTAIN! Yep, that’s right, for this afternoon’s game at Burnley, the ‘Hurrikane’ will be wearing the armband, somewhat capping his rise this season.

There seems to be nothing beyond the reach of the 21-year-old right now, and it would be no surprise to see him as player manager or even player chairman before the week’s out!

Naturally, there’s been plenty of reaction on Twitter, and here are some of the highlights.
