Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker is feeling optimistic and believes the club can push on with their plans for next season.
Spurs missed out on Champions League football to arch rivals Arsenal by the slightest of margins, even though they picked up their biggest-ever points haul in the Premier League.
Parker, who missed the first half of the last campaign with injury, remains confident that with a couple of additions they will be a major force next season.
“I don’t know what the chairman’s plans are, or the manager’s, but maybe with a couple of signings, you never know,” said the England midfielder.
“We’ve got a fantastic squad here and if we can add that little bit more in terms of our mentality, you never know what might happen.
“When we look back at the season just gone, we think that if we’d picked up a couple of points here and there then we could really have pushed the top teams.”
