According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur could make a shock move for West Ham United defender Arthur Masuaku in this summer’s transfer window.
But it would be fair to say that the Spurs supporters are absolutely desperate for their club to avoid a swoop for the left-back.
The report has also named Borussia Dortmund as an interested party, but Tottenham’s interest appears to stem from the fact that the London club want a replacement for Danny Rose.
Masuaku is quite a strange defender – he is capable of putting in stunning performances, but has largely lacked consistency during his three years at West Ham.
The 25-year-old started and finished each of West Ham’s final five matches of the 2018-19 Premier League campaign, though.
And according to WhoScored, he had a pass success rate of 94%, in addition to making five successful dribbles in the 4-1 win over Watford on Sunday.
The Tottenham fans, though, are simply not interested in a deal:
Levy time. I see his mindset hasn’t changed at all. Joke
